At The Happy Human Hub we are committed to driving a culture of continued learning and support to enable each participant to engage in community, economic, social and recreational activities in both the community and in our centre.

These supports are all about providing participants with assistance, or supervision of, personal tasks of daily life as they learn the skills necessary to live as independently as possible. This includes a host of training activities and developmental programs, performed by the participant with assistance from their carer or carers.

Through these activities the participant will learn critical skills like cleaning, cooking, using money, getting around town, and lots more. Below is a list of some of the relevant skills that we will assist you with:

  • Personal care (including health and wellbeing)
  • Daily routines and activities
  • Housekeeping and maintenance
  • Planning, organising and drawing up budgets
  • Making use of government services
  • Joining a group or club
  • Meeting new people and making new friends
  • Traveling and using public transportation
  • Participating in the community
  • Shopping and using money
